Jia-Fong Yeh | Ph.D. @ National Taiwan University

Biography

Jia-Fong Yeh holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from National Taiwan University (NTU), where he was advised by Prof. Winston Hsu. He also collaborates closely with Prof. Yi-Ting Chen at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU). His research interests span computer vision, deep robot learning, and evolutionary algorithms.

During his time at NTU, he co-led the robotics team in Prof. Hsu’s lab. He recently completed a machine learning internship at Sony in Japan. Prior to his doctoral studies, he received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), where he worked with Prof. Tsung-Che Chiang and Prof. Shun-Shii Lin.

Dr. Yeh is a member of IEEE and has received several prestigious honors, including the NOVATEK Ph.D. Scholarship (2022), NeurIPS Scholar Award (2024), NTUEE-1975 Technology Research Innovation Award (2025), Hon Hai Technology Award (2025), Phi Tau Phi Honorary Member (2025), TSC Thesis Award (2025), and IPPR Dissertation Competition - Honorable mention (2025).
